US company sold its solar station in village of Karadzhalovo

3 months after one of the biggest solar parks in Bulgaria started work, its American owner sold it. Solar station in the Parvomay village of Karadzhalovo is already ownership of investors form Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan and the US.
In the project, which was meant to be an industrial park, but due to low interest turned into photovoltaic, BGN 350 million had been invested.
The solar plant is the most expensive in Bulgaria. Sun Edison, the initial American investor planned to sell it till the end of 2012. Its subsidiary MEMC Electronic Materials announced that in the second quarter of the year it sold the newly completed solar park in the Parvomay village of Karadzhalovo. Buyer of the Bulgarian ZBE Partners is a registered company in Malta ACF Renewable Energy.
Karadzhalovo is one of the largest photovoltaic parks in the Balkans: stretching 1,000 acres with over 214,000 modules. It was built in four months, and connected to the grid in March. Peak power output is 60.4 megawatts.
