Svishtov-based Winery exports 1 million liters of wine to Vietnam

Vinprom - Svishtov JSC signed a contract to export 1 million liters of wine to Vietnam. The contract is the largest export of Bulgarian red wine for this Asian destination and the largest export contract of Svishtov Winery this year, said Nadia Mineva, CEO and technologist of the company.
The contract is to export two types of broached table wines in Vietnam will be bottled and sold under the brand name of Vinprom - Svishtov, and for local companies, said commercial director Svilen Dimitrov. 70 percent of the annual production of Svishtov wines is exported. Destinations are Russia, Germany, Britain, China and for two weeks - Vietnam. Company`s annual export is 1.5 million liters, said Dimitrov.
"Last year Vinprom - Svishtov reported a decline in exports, which was partially offset by sales on the Bulgarian market," said Mineva. Argentine and Chilean wines by the low price category, which flood the Bulgarian market in hypermarkets are artificially dumping and undercutting Bulgarian wines and this is one of the most serious problems in the industry, says Mineva.
