In 2006 the Aqua Park "Waterland" (http://www.waterland-bg.com) opened its doors for the first time and welcomed Kazanlak residents, visitors and tourists from all over Bulgaria. It is built in the immediate vicinity of the hot springs (Mineral Baths OVOSHTNIK) and all pools are filled with mineral water.

With its size (it is spread over 200 acres of land) and scope of attractions it is among the best on the Balkans.  It can accomodate up to 800 people. There is a total of 5 large pools, the best of which is 1.60 m deep / 50 m wide and connected to a kids` pool – 50 cm deep, and a babies` pool – 20 cm deep. The pool bar adds another bonus to your holiday – fresh cocktails and high spirits. And if, by any chance, it is full, don`t worry – there are two more open bars! The 4 water slides challenge the most daring of visitors, and the kids can get to know what that sea animal called octopus is, by sliding down its tentacles.

Two medical teams will be taking care of your health and safety and the massage salons – of your physical and mental relaxation. For full relaxation of body and mind, the beach next to the pool offers a pair of jacuzzis that could accomodate up to 10 people at a time. A swimming pool with surface area of 1600 m2 welcomes anyone with olympic aspirations to try their will and stamina. The challenge is even greater if they decide to try and tackle the more than a meter high waves.

In the evenings the Aua park brings together the teenagers of the valley for parties on different musical themes. The discoteque is open in the winter time as well.

The Aqua Park project is a work in progress (2008). Still to come are three hotel buildings, the biggest of which will be a 4-star hotel with many more attractions to offer!
